Clark Warren Endowed Scholarship

This endowed scholarship was established by Garry and Sharon Warren, along with their son Brad Warren to honor the memory of their son Clark Warren. Clark was ten years old when he died of cancer. Clark and his family moved to Florence in 1987, when his father assumed the position of Dean of Library Services (later, Dean of Information Technologies). Within six weeks of the move, Clark was diagnosed with cancer. While battling the disease for two years, he received much encouragement from the University of North Alabama family. On December 13, 1989, Clark died and was buried in Martin, Tennessee. Clark’s brother, Brad, graduated from the University of North Alabama in 2000, with a degree in marketing. During that time, Brad benefited from scholarships from the University and the College of Business.
The criteria fro this scholarship has major significance for all members of the Warren family. Recipients of this scholarship shall be full-time students who are (1) entering their junior year w/major in Marketing, (2) deemed marginally eligible for enrollment as incoming freshmen based on HS grades, entrance exams (3) have achieved academic success beyond that predicted by conditions of admission.
