Henry Floyd Sherrod Endowed Scholarship

This endowed scholarship was established by Sherry Sandlin to honor the memory of her father, Henry Floyd Sherrod. He was a native of Colbert County, a graduate of the former Florence Norman College (now the University of North Alabama), and attended Peabody College, Nashville. He was an educator for many years and served as principal of schools at Eva and Woodville, Ala. He was in real estate after retiring from education. Recipients of this scholarship shall be full-time students enrolled in the College of Education with the intention of becoming an elementary or secondary school teacher.
