Jack W. and Katherine J. Hoffhaus Endowed Scholarship

Scholarships shall be awarded to students who are enrolled in the Department of Art with declared majors in art or fine art and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75. Each applicant must submit two letters of recommendations from professionals who can attest to the applicant’s artistic talents and moral character. Applicants must also submit a work portfolio of high quality. Preference shall be given to students with Painting concentrations and graduates from a high school in Alabama. The recipient recommendations will be selected by the Chair of the Department of Art in conjunction with the Office of Student Financial Services. The awards will be made in scholarship amounts based on funds available and number of students selected. Recipients of the scholarship must have demonstrated financial need based on the current and future need based guidelines of the University. The scholarship may be renewable for up to four years of a recipient’s undergraduate education provided the recipient meets or maintains the above mentioned criteria.
