Sneed Family Endowed Scholarship

This endowed scholarship was established by the late Mildred Sneed Dailey. Mrs. Dailey became the third Sneed child to attend college when she enrolled at Florence state Normal College (predecessor to UNA) in 1932, and the first from her family to graduate when she earned her degree, after several interruptions, in 1943. In 1947, Mrs. Dailey began her teaching career as a business teacher for Lawrence County High School, a job she kept until her retirement in 1974.
Recipients of this scholarship shall be juniors and seniors enrolled as full-time students in the College of Education.
