Opler Promise Endowed Scholarship

This endowed scholarship was established by Nancy Opler. Ms.Opler has served as a volunteer for over 30 years with the American Red Cross locally, statewide and nationally. She was the first woman appointed as Chair of the Lauderdale County Chapter. She has previously served on the UNA Foundation Board and during that time was Chair of the Finance Committee for 10 years. She has been a member of the President’s Cabinet since its inception, and she now serves as Chair.
This scholarship shall be awarded to students who are considered a first generation college student, defined as a student whose parents did not graduate from college, or as a student who resides in a home of a single parent who did not complete a college degree.
